Yoeman Bates Hendrix

Yoeman Bates Hendrix was born on January 3, 1943 to Norman and Ivy (Ross) Hendrix in Lawton, Oklahoma. He passed away on November 15, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Clinton, Oklahoma.

Yoeman was a member of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes. He was also a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church. He enlisted into the Army in the late 60s and was honorably discharged in the early 70s. Of the medals he received were: National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. He attended Gracemont Schools at the end of his high school career which ended at his sophomore year. He worked as a factory worker at a carpet mill. He was married to Ella Mae Hendrix who preceded him in death.

Preceded in death by: parents, spouse, Ella Mae Hendrix and sisters, Judy Pino and Joyce Hendrix.
