Winona J Combest

Winona Pritchard Combest 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, in Cordell, Oklahoma. She was born on November 4, 1924, in Mountain View, Oklahoma to Vance and Jessie Alice (Peoples) Grubb. Winona was saved early in childhood at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church north of Mountain View. She married Logan Pritchard on November 24, 1941. Winona stayed home caring for the kids or helping on the farm. She later married Bill Combest. Winona was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cordell.


She is survived by one daughter; Connie Zimmerman and husband Nickey, Mountain View, OK
4 grandchildren; Lori Adeniluyi and husband Lawrence, Yukon, OK
Dennis Red and wife Lisa, Edmond, OK
Cathy Johnson and husband Chris, Cordell, OK
Cara Barnett and husband Brynn, Mountain View, OK
11 great grandchildren
7 great-great grandchildren
a special "daughter" Janel Craig and
3 special "grandchildren" Amy Angle, Stephen Parnell and Jesica Hanson
numerous nieces and nephews


She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Logan, one daughter Kay, 5 sisters Velma, Evelyn, Lillie, Marie, Leota, 1 brother John, 2nd husband Bill.

Donation may be made to Cordell Memorial Hospital, Cordell, OK

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March5, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Cordell, OK
Officiating: Rev. Terrell Romberg
Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain View, Oklahoma, under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Mountain View.
