Winnie O. Frank

Winnie Opal Frank, 96 passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, in Carnegie, Oklahoma. She was born on September 7, 1919, in Gotebo, Oklahoma to Oscar and Hattie (Harris) Hurst. Following her mother's death Winnie, age 8 and 3 younger siblings were raised by their aunt and uncle Fred and Georgie (Hurst) Harris. She was saved and baptized at an early age in the Gotebo Baptist Church. She married Harley Frank on Oct. 8, 1938. Winnie was a devoted wife and mother taking care of 5 children and helping on their farm. She shared her Christian compassion for people when she worked several years as a nurse at the Hobart hospital. Winnie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gotebo.
