Windell Joan Johnston

Windell Joan Johnston, 72, of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, passed away May 18, 2018. She was born April 1, 1946 in Ralls, Texas to Georgia Oneta (Moore) and W.E. "Bill" Watkins. She graduated from school in 1964 in Arapaho, Oklahoma. She worked at Dairy Queen and the Highland Nursing Home until she was married. Joan married Michael Ryan Johnston on June 1, 1968 in Cordell, Oklahoma. While married, they owned and operated Princess Theatre in Eureka, Kansas for 5 years before selling it to purchase the Chisholm Trail Drive-In and Regent Theatre in Wellington, Kansas. After 10 years , they sold them and moved to Lone Wolf in June of 1981. In 1988 they bought and operated W&W Reloading Company. She was a member of Eastern Star in Wellington, Kansas.

She is survived by one daughter Tammy Morris and husband David of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma,
two grandchildren that were her world: Cheyenne and Sheltin Morris,
two brothers: Arbie Watkins and wife Shirley,
Kenneth Watkins and wife Vicki, all from Arapaho, Oklahoma,
and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 10 brothers and sisters.
