Wilson Baxter Snipes

Wilson "Sonny" Baxter Snipes, 69, of Mangum, OK passed away unexpectedly at Jackson County Memorial Hospital on January 4, 2020. He was born on April 25, 1950 to LA and Eddie Lou (Wilson) Snipes in Liberal, Kansas. Wilson grew up in Mangum, OK graduating from high school in 1968. Sonny received his BS degree in Business from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, OK. He met and married his high school sweetheart, Gayle Lanford on August 23, 1969 in Mangum, OK. To this union was born three children: Justin, Bethney and Rebecca. Music was always a big part of his life from his days in high school, college, and adulthood. Sonny enjoyed a challenging and rewarding career in the IT field. He loved his family more than life itself and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Daughter: Bethney Jones & husband Michael of Pottsboro, TX
4 Grandchildren: Wyatt, Jacie, Cayden and Grayson
Sister: Gwen Parker of CA
