Wilson Gene Ponce, 35, passed away September 8, 2022 at Carnegie, OK. He was born January 9, 1987 in Lawton, OK to Benancio E. and Loucreta (Redbone) Ponce.
Wilson was raised in the Carnegie area. He attended and graduated from Carnegie, OK in 2006. Wilson attended SWOSU in Weatherford, OK. He met his true love, Casey Kee, while in the Carnegie High School Band. They were married December 14, 2009 in Carnegie, OK. They were blessed with their two children, Reighleigh and Henry. They lived in Carnegie until December 2020 where they made their home in Fort Cobb, OK.
Wilson worked for Western Aggregates, and volunteered for the Carnegie Fire Department for many years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and OU fan. Wilson loved coaching the Carnegie Little League T-Ball. He loved cruising the Oklahoma roads, football, hunting, and fishing. Wilson and the children loved rough housing and just hanging with "DAD." He attended all of the sporting and extracurricular activities with the family. Wilson was a very hard worker and a wonderful father and husband. Wilson never met a stranger, and was always willing to help anyone out in need.
He was preceded in death by his: father, Benancio; grandparents, Rev. Henry Leon Redbone Sr., and Barbara Ann Redbone Nestell and husband, Bruce Nestell; Rev. Henry Redbone Jr; grandparents, Frank and Maria Salazar; cousin, Leanndra (Hooter) Redbone; uncle, Francisco Ponce: aunt, Janita Ponce Garcia
