Wilma Ruth Mccarley

Wilma Ruth McCarley died peacefully in Silver Spring Maryland on March 4th at the age of 83. Wilma is survived by her brothers, Leon Gregg (Maurine), Gordon Gregg (Donna) and nephews Darryn, Gordy and Paul. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gempsie Gregg and father, C.G. (Bill) Gregg.

Wilma was born in 1938 in Cordell, Oklahoma and grew up in Cordell. She graduated from Abilene Christine College with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. After living abroad, Wilma moved to the east coast, joining Exxon, where she worked for 16 years. Wilma was an excellent writer and editor and later in life used those skills at the Business Council for Effective Literacy. Wilma enjoyed traveling, her life in New York City and antiquing.
