William Eugene Millwee

William "Bill" Eugene Millwee, 80, passed away on Monday, August 27th, 2023. He was born to Herman and Wilma Millwee (Merritt) on September 28, 1942 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Bill grew up east of town on the family farm. Bill went to Carnegie Public Schools and graduated in 1960. Shortly after, Bill met the love of his life, Carole Bartosovsky, and they were married in 1962 at the Alden Presbyterian Church. They bore two children from this union, Mike and David.

Bill attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1963. He then began to work for the state of Oklahoma in 1964-1967. He later completed his Master's degree at the University of Oklahoma and left to work for the State of South Carolina in 1967-1977. During 1977, Bill and Carole moved back to Carnegie and he began to work for Farmer's Bank through 1987. In 1987 Bill took his love for learning and became an educator for Carnegie Public Schools teaching science at the high school. Bill was also the Academic Coach for many years. He worked there until his retirement in 2008 and continued to educate through the GED program for several more years.

Bill touched many lives through his career and had a deep love for his students. He enjoyed the OU Sooners, attending Carnegie Wildcat athletic events and, working the clock during the Carnegie football games. Bill also, enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents: Herman and Wilma Millwee (Merritt) ; brothers: Roy Millwee and Don Millwee; and sister: Erlene Hancock.
