William Howard Megli, 94,of Carnegie, OK, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015. He was the first child of Noah and Stella (Fletcher) Megli. He was born October 3, 1920, at home near Cowden. Howard has one sister Oleta Faye Colvin who lives in Dallas, Texas. He attended Cowden School and graduated in 1939. He attended Draughn's Business College for a short time and came back home to the farm. He was united in marriage to Sarah Elizabeth Greeley, on August 26,1940, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, who preceded him in death February 3, 2015. To this union, three children were born; Max Glen, Earl Ray and Betty Carol. Howard and Liz were involved in farming and ranching in the communities of Cowden, Alfalfa, Lane and Carnegie, Oklahoma. They farmed wheat, cotton and peanuts. They truly loved raising livestock and chickens. This included a cow/calf operation, as well as sheep, stocker calves, laying hens, hogs and finally raising and showing quarter horses. Howard and Liz were farmers and ranchers from 1940, until finally retiring in 1998. They were a team that really loved helping everyone. They loved their family and prayed for them and supported them in all ways. Howard and Liz raised their family in a Christian home, where being involved in church and caring for those in need was a priority. Howard and Liz were baptized in a creek near Harmony Baptist Church in Lane, Oklahoma. They were members at Carnegie First Baptist Church.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Liz of 74 years, and son, Earl Ray.
Funeral Service: 1:00p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Chapel, Carnegie, OK
Burial will follow at Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie, OK
under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie
