William M. Koomsa Jr., Tone-koy-dae-on (Tuke) 75, of Carnegie, OK passed away Wednesday, May 8th, 2013. He was born to William Sr. and Henrietta (Satepauhoodle) Komesataddle, September 8th, 1937 in Carnegie, OK. Bill graduated from Carnegie High School in 1955, and is one of fifty, from the Koomsa family to graduate from Carnegie Schools. He was very active in school sports such as baseball, basketball and football. After high school he attended Panhandle A&M on a baseball scholarship. He also attended Haskell Institute, where he studied Power Plant Management. Bill was united in marriage to Yvonne Ahtone , January of 1960 in Wichita Falls. Bill was a world championship fancy dancer and a well known singer of the traditional Kiowa Songs. He was a member of the Kiowa Tribe, as well as a direct descendent of two Kiowa Chiefs, Satanta Whitebear and Satank Sittingbear.
William is survived by his two daughters,

three sisters, Martha Koomsa Perez, Carnegie, OK

Peggy Maynahonah and husband, Louis , Carnegie, OK
numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three older sisters, Angeline Wetselline Lois Koomsa Gayton, and Nannie Belle Koomsa.

Funeral Service: 11:00a.m., Monday, May 13, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, Carnegie
Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery
