Wayne Clifford Connally 79 went home on May 17, 2016 with his children holding his hands, at the OU Medical Center after a brief illness and brave fight.
Wayne was born on May 4, 1937 in Nashoba, Ok to Juanita (Riley) Connally and Iven Connally. As a young man he enjoyed Ol Time Music, hunting, fishing, and building things throughout his life. He joined the Air Force in 1955 and served his country for 4 years. he worked for Hollytex for 36 years. He married Shirley Shipworth and to this marriage, they had Linda and Danny. He later married Mary Ann Burns. To this marriage they had Matthew. He and Mary Ann were married 42 years until his death. He and Marry Ann loved Bluegrass music and went to many Bluegrass festivals. He enjoyed playing the Mandoline and guitar with his friends. Wayne could do anything. He was always the go to guy when something broke or when you needed something built, or a solution to a problem no one else could figure out. He loved spending time with his family and friends. he enjoyed his daily coffee shop time. he had many friends there.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Mary Ann and sons, Matthew Connally of the home and Danny and companion Penny of Anadarko; daughter: Linda and husband Karil of Gracemont; grandchildren: Ashleigh of Apache, Audie and Mattie both of Gracemont
great-grandchildren: Tymber and Carleigh; brother: Dale and wife Marie of Prescott, AZ; sister: Genevieve and husband, Bill Appleberry of Concord CA; sister:-in-law: Pauline Connally of Anadarko; nieces, nephews and many, many friends!
He is preceded in death by his parents: Juanita and Iven Connally; sister; Ivanell; brothers: Leon and Bill Connally.
Daddy would always say "I Love all my kids" and Daddy we all Love you too!!
