Warren Jackson

Warren "Glen" Jackson, 74, of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday August 11, 2015 in Weatherford, Oklahoma after a brief struggle with cancer. He was born October 6, 1940 in Mountain View Oklahoma to Warren and Trecil (Colwell) Jackson.

He was educated first at Oakdale School and Mountain View schools of Oklahoma before moving to Sunnyvale, California where he graduated in 1958. He then joined the U.S. Army in October, 1958. He was stationed in West Germany near the East German border as an Infantry Scout. While there he became and expert Marksman and served on the Army's Rifle Team winning many contests. He completed his service in early 1962 and returned to Mountain View where he began his career as an auto mechanic.

He met the love of his life, Dena Skaggs that same year and they were married August 12, 1963, They moved to Carnegie, Oklahoma where their two children, Kerrie and Keith were raised while Glen perfected his mechanic skills and served the community at Glen's Automotive Service. Dena was his number one support and help. Glen always had an active and creative mind constantly pursuing different activities and goals. He obtained his private airplane pilot's license and purchased a small Ercoupe plane which he enjoyed flying and giving rides to family and friends.

In 1993 he and Dena were able to move to a farm in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. In their retirement he and Dena purchased cattle and spent many hours of enjoyment on the back porch of the house of the farm.

Glen was preceded in death by his father, Warren A Jackson and younger brother, Larry Thomas Jackson; his grandparents, William Allen and Elizabeth "Abby" Sloan Jackson; Thomas Cleopus and Tyva Lilly Whatley Colwell.

He is survived by his wife, Dena Skaggs Jackson of the home, daughter Kerrie Jackson Adler and husband Eric and children Megan, Rachel and Nathan; son Keith Jackson and fiance Cristal Coggins and children Jace, Brentley and Trigger.

Glen is survived by his mother, Trecil Jackson of Norman, Oklahoma, his sister Deanna Eades and husband Ron of Norman; his brother Dale and wife Reba Jackson of Mountain View, Oklahoma; his aunt Lorena Colwell Jackson of Santa Clara, California and many neices, nephews, cousins and friends.

He will be missed by all.
