Wanda M Thurman

Wanda Mae (Ridenour) Thurman was born at Oakdale Washita County on December 16th, 1926 to Claude and Ellen Ridenour. She passed away on August 25th, 2018 at Corn Heritage Village where she had lived for several years. She was 91 years old.

Wanda went to school at Lake Valley School where she graduated in 1945.

She married Glen Thurman in Decatur, Texas on April 2, 1946. Glen and Wanda farmed and went on harvest several years before he started working as a mechanic for Bob Allen Construction Company. While working construction, they lived in several towns in Oklahoma before moving to Oklahoma City. Wherever they lived, Wanda made friends and was happy. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and reading.

Wanda was preceded in death by parents; husband Glen; two sons, David and Gene; brothers, Homer, Orville, Doyle, and Wiley; and sister Wynema.

Sister-in-law: Clarelynn Ridenour
Brother-in-law: R.H. Thurman
7 Great-grandchildren: Kyley Thurman, Ava Thurman, Ellie Thurman, Tyler Wedel, Chase Thurman, Savanna Thurman and Harley Thurman; and several nieces and nephews.
