Wanda Jean Shaw was born on August 22, 1941, to Ervin "EA" Setzer and Carolyn (Hansen) Setzer. Wanda passed away on March 26, 2025, at the Binger Nursing Home at 3:48 am after being sick for a while. Wanda grew up on the family farm on the Washita - Caddo Country Line North of 152 State Highway on the west side of the road. While she grew up and attended Colony School, she would help on the farm with the dairy cows, moving pipes, hauling hay and more. Wanda met and married Jim Shaw on April 3, 1958, at Anadarko. They moved to Beatrice, Nebraska where Jim worked in a machine Shop working on irrigation gear heads, while there Renee was born. They moved to Lubbock, Jim still worked at a machine shop. They moved back to Oklahoma in 1960 making their home in Alfalfa. When Jim and Wanda started their own custom harvesting at also bringing into the world Stanley. While on harvest she ran down parts and fuel, made lunches for the field then went back and did laundry for all of them. When the harvest was over, she would work at TG&Y at Carnegie, they had 2 more kids Tina & JD. They all attended the Church of Christ in Carnegie. When the kids started School Wanda was active helping kids with their homework, - 4-H, sports then to they we class parents. Wanda helped in the community. Wanda enjoyed sewing - painting - crocheting- Knitting - playing cards and playing with her grandchildren. She loved to travel when they could. She always liked to go to her weekly hair appointment to get her fixed.
Wanda is survived by two sons Stanley Shaw of Alfalfa, OK, JD Shaw and wife Shelly of Weatherford, OK, one Daughter Tina Shaw of Alfalfa, Ok. One brother Darell and wife Judy of OKC, OK, 7 Grandchildren: Kylie Shaw of Alfalfa, Stanton Shaw of Tulsa, OK, Todd Shaw of Carnegie, OK, Jaden Shaw of Tulsa, OK, Kaleb Powell of Alfalfa, OK, Tamra Gober her husband Gregg of Brooklyn, NY, Tanae Shaw of OKlahoma City, OK and 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents Ervin "EA" Setzer and Carolyn (Hansen) Setzer, her husband Jim Shaw, Daughter Renee Shaw, and Brother Doug Setzer, nephew Randy Setzer. A lot more loved ones & friends.
