Wanda S. Revel, 91, was born May 19, 1920 in Brinkman, Greer County, Oklahoma to Marshal Rector Conrad and Frances Elizabeth (Jenkins) Conrad. She died September 28, 2011 at Rest Haven Skilled Nursing Facility in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She graduated from Fletcher High School on May 18, 1940 and promptly married the love of her life, William Homer (Bill) Revel the very next day in Elgin, Oklahoma. Wanda and Bill moved to Elgin Oklahoma where Bill worked for the International Harvester store there until Bill accepted a job in Carnegie as parts manager for Howell Implement in 1958. Wanda was a homemaker for many years and later took schooling to become a registered dietician and was the dietician at the Carnegie Tri-County Hospital until she and Bill purchased Kaufman's General Electric Appliance store. She and Bill ran the store until Bill's death in 1993. Wanda was a member of Carnegie First United Methodist church. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, was a member of the United Methodist Women, and served in various offices of that organization. She cooked for the Rotary Club until shortly before she moved to Lake Charles.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Sue Taylor and husband Bill, Lake Charles, LA
step-son, Robert H. Revel and wife Sue Duggan Revel, El Reno, OK
two grandsons, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren
one brother, Foy S. Conrad, Oklahoma City, OK
one sister, Connie Lantz of Las Vegas Nevada
several much loved nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one granddaughter, Connie Gayle Revel Foster
Funeral Services: 2:00pm Friday, September 30th, 2011 at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK
Officiating will be Rev. Steve Littrell
Burial will follow at the Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie, OK
