Wanda Mae Ingram

January 24, 1937 — July 6, 2014

Wanda Ingram, 77, formerly of Anadarko, was born January 24th, 1937, in Verden, Oklahoma to Roy and Flossie (Sigmon) Taylor. She passed from this life to her eternal life with her Heavenly Father Sunday, July 6th, 2014, at the Binger Nursing Home in Binger, Oklahoma.

Wanda attended the Verden Elementary School where her mother Flossie was a school teacher until the family moved from the farm near Chickasha Lake to live in Anadarko. Wanda graduated Anadarko High School with the class of 1955. After Raising five children, babysitting to supplement her income, caring for family members and working with the elderly, she graduated Nursing School with an LPN License so she could professionally do what she loved most. She later went on and finished schooling to become an Administrator so she could further insure that loving care would be given to all, especially the elderly. Wanda worked in several nursing homes as well as co-creating from the ground up, the Binger Nursing Home and the Mustang Nursing Home.

Wanda enjoyed many things, reading mysteries, playing Canasta, putting together puzzles and travel. Never afraid to try new things, nothing could stop her once she set her mind on something. She raised five children much of the time alone, and was known for her independence, strength, compassion and courage. Wanda's family asks s you to support Dementia and ALS research.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Larry Taylor, a nephew, Roy Wayne Taylor, a niece Linda Beth Taylor and a sister-in-law Jean Taylor.
Survivors include, one daughter, Marla Ingram of Show Low, Arizona; four sons, Steve Ingram of Oklahoma City, Dale Ingram of Chickasha, David Ingram of Anadarko and Randy Ingram of Oklahoma City; one brother, Ron Taylor of Fort Cobb; eight grandchildren, Scott Ingram of Elko, Nevada, Ryan Ingram of Oklahoma City, Josh Ingram of Chickasha, Jeremy Stockham, Devery Brown, Tiffany Brown, all of Anadarko, Heather Ingram of Chickasha and Miranda Ingram of Anadarko; numerous great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Sissy Taylor of Anadarko; several nieces, nephews, other relative and friends, including, special friend and former husband, Rathmel Ingram of Anadarko.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Steverson Funeral Home tonight from 7 P.M. to 8 P.M.
The funeral will be held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, July 8, 2014, in the Steverson Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Verden Cemetery. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.steversonfuneralhome.com .
