Wanda Barton

February 16, 1925 — February 10, 2018

Wanda Virginia Barton, 92, passed away on February 10th in Springboro Ohio. She was born to William and Winnie (Waters) Allred on February 16, 1925 in Wetumka Oklahoma. She moved to Hobart in 1927 and graduated from Hobart High School in 1943 and worked at the Federal Land Bank. Wanda married Paul Barton on March 17, 1947 at the Methodist Church. She taught Sunday school for several years. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader. Wanda was preceded in death by husband Paul of 63 years, four sisters, and three brothers. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Hobart. She is survived by daughter, Linda Barton of Springboro, Ohio; son, Jon Barton and wife Jackie of Kingwood, Texas; and one sister, Marion Scott, of Tulsa. She was most proud of her surviving 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren: Brack Coalson and wife Heather, children Aidan, Gavin and Cate of Algonquin, Illinois; Cam Coalson of Dayton, Ohio; Seth Coalson and wife Mary Claire, children Ellis and Isla of Dayton, Ohio; Amanda Maddox and husband Travis of Atascocita, Texas; Jessica Bradley and husband John, children Lily and William of Kingwood, Texas. Gran was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her wishes were to make donations to the Hobart Public Library in lieu of flowers. A memorial service will be held at Ray and Martha's Funeral Home in Hobart on March 24th at 1:30 p.m
