Wade Roy Diffendaffer

Wade Diffendaffer was born February 28, 1932 to Chauncey and Lola Diffendaffer at Rocky, Oklahoma. He married Kathy Byrd on March 13, 1952 in Cordell, Oklahoma. On May 13, 1955, they had a daughter Peggy Jean, and on July 9, 1959 JL was born. JL left this world April 29, 1960 and Kathy left December 11, 2011. He was drafted into the Army. When he served his two years, they returned to Rocky where they farmed and raised cattle. Two months before he was 50, he retired and they traveled to all 48 of the lower states. They made countless friends with whom they stayed in close contact with. He hunted quail and later discovered fishing - which became his passion. His greatest joy was to see a child smile when he handed them a $2 bill. He gave away more than 1500 $2 bills in his later years. He was a very sharp business man and loved his family very much.

He is survived by his daughter Peggy and her husband LD Hawthorne of Lake Texoma, Oklahoma,
and daughter Tami Drake of Duncan, Oklahoma,
Three great-grandchildren: Kali, Emily, and Critter of Duncan, Oklahoma,
he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law: Raymond & Lena Byrd, 2 brothers: Allen Diffendaffer and his wife Lola, and Don Diffendaffer and his wife Evelyn, and 2 sisters: Margie Elston and husband Harry, and Dorothy Humphries and husband Calvin.
