In Loving Memory of Viola Craddock
Viola Craddock, a beloved mother, wife, and homemaker, left us on July 25, 2023, in Apache, Oklahoma, to join the Lord in eternal peace. She was born on February 14, 1948, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, and her journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and an unwavering faith.
Viola was a woman of many talents and passions. As a mother, she lovingly cared for her three children and embraced two bonus children as her own. Her home was always filled with warmth and the aroma of freshly baked bread and cinnamon rolls that she enjoyed making for her family and friends.
Throughout her life, Viola wore many hats, and she embraced each role with enthusiasm. For four decades, she devoted herself to being a dedicated homemaker, creating a loving environment for her family. However, she also ventured outside the home and worked at a Grocery Store, sold Avon products, and served as a tax preparer. Alongside her husband J.W., she contributed to the success of their family business, leaving a legacy of hard work and entrepreneurship.
Viola had a zest for life and cherished simple pleasures. She loved going garage-selling, spending peaceful days fishing, and indulging in plenty of coffee with her loved ones. Her joyful spirit shone brightest when she was surrounded by her family, whom she cherished above all else. She shared her profound love for the Lord with those around her, sharing stories of His blessings and grace in her life.
Viola was a testament to the enduring power of love, having been married to J.W. for 40 years. After his passing, she was blessed to reconnect with her first husband, Hershel Olinger, who brought additional love and happiness into her life.
As Viola embarks on her eternal journey, she leaves behind cherished memories for those she held dear.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ewell Parham, her mother, Lula Parham, her brothers, Melton (Junior), Jerry, and Raymond Parham, and her sister, Beula Maben.
She is survived by her sisters, Elaine Perry of Anadarko, and Thelma Killman of Chickasha. Viola's memory will forever be treasured by her five children: Sheila Mayer and her husband Tony of Cyril, Kevin and Janice Olinger of Anadarko, Rodney and Erin Craddock of Montgomery, Texas, Douglas Craddock of Binger, and Angela Carey of Anadarko. She will also be remembered fondly by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, brothers, and sisters in law.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday at the Verden Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to bid farewell to this remarkable woman and celebrate the life she lived.
Viola Craddock's journey on Earth may have come to an end, but her love, kindness, and the joy she brought into the lives of others will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light of the Lord she held so dear.
