Victoria Pearl Taylor, 104, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away May 20, 2016 in Granite, Oklahoma.
She was born April 10, 1912 in Richland, Iowa, to Irvin and Ella Rote. She married Hal Merle Taylor on March 27, 1929 in Jefferson, Iowa. They later moved to Hobart, Oklahoma, in 1933 and spent a majority of their lives there. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hobart, the Frisco Home Extension Club, The Historical Society, and she also cooked for the Lion's Club and Kawanis.
Her philosophy in life was to never grow up because old people weren't fun.
She is survived by three sons; Larry Taylor and wife Ethel, Brandon, Oregon
Frank Taylor, Cordell, Oklahoma,
and Hal Taylor Jr., Las Cruces, New Mexico,
two daughters; Marilyn Stockton, Granite, Oklahoma,
Linda Harper and husband Bob, Sand Springs, Oklahoma,
16 grandchildren,
48 great-grandchildren
38 great-great-grandchildren
and 4 great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hal Taylor, one son, Dean Taylor, four brothers; Cecil Rote, Homer Rote, Ted Rote, and Dean Rote, and one sister Anna Harvey.
Funeral Services for Victoria Taylor will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Chapel in Hobart, Oklahoma. Chaplian David Worsham will be officiating. Burial will follow at Hobart Rose Cemetery in Hobart, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Hobart.
