Vernon David Taylor, 85, of Clinton, Oklahoma formerly of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 1, 2019 at the Clinton Veterans Center in Clinton, Oklahoma. He was born on February 11th, 1934 to Vernon David and Martha Elizabeth (Chandler) Taylor in Horatio, Arkansas. Vernon grew up and attended school in Washita County. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in June of 1957 in Carswell, Texas.
He served his country honorably and was forced to retire in 1974 due to health problems. Vernon then worked as Deputy Sheriff in Washita County. He was a member of the Cordell Round-up Club and also a member of the First Baptist Church in Cordell, Oklahoma. Vernon loved his family, especially his sister's great-granddaughter, Berkli, AKA, his best girlfriend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jack Taylor of Cordell, OK
Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Preceded in death by his Parents, Wife: Loyce Taylor, Sons: Randy Taylor and Ricky Taylor, and Brothers: Elmer Taylor, Bill Taylor and Ray Taylor.
