Vernon Chlouber, 74, passed away in Anadarko, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He was born on December 12, 1943 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Clarence and Eula Chlouber.
He grew up in Carnegie, OK and attended Carnegie School. He married Patsy Mandrell of Mt. View, OK on July 16, 1965 at the Carnegie Church of the Nazarene. They moved to Anadarko shortly after getting married and built their life at the same address ever since.
He farmed and ranched his entire life while always teaching his family the value of hard work and working together. He worked at numerous jobs such as Sequoia for 8 years and later retired at Goodyear after 25 and a half years. After retirement he continued his love of farming and raising cattle full time.
His greatest joy in life was his family, being in the field, fishing, and telling tall tales to his grandkids or to anyone that would listen. He loved animals and was known to bring home all types of strays.
