Vernon Chlouber, 74, passed away in Anadarko, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He was born on December 12, 1943 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Clarence and Eula Chlouber.
He grew up in Carnegie, OK and attended Carnegie School. He married Patsy Mandrell of Mt. View, OK on July 16, 1965 at the Carnegie Church of the Nazarene. They moved to Anadarko shortly after getting married and built their life at the same address ever since.
He farmed and ranched his entire life while always teaching his family the value of hard work and working together. He worked at numerous jobs such as Sequoia for 8 years and later retired at Goodyear after 25 and a half years. After retirement he continued his love of farming and raising cattle full time.
His greatest joy in life was his family, being in the field, fishing, and telling tall tales to his grandkids or to anyone that would listen. He loved animals and was known to bring home all types of strays. He also liked to garden and believed a garden should be twice the size (or more) than needed in order to share with all family and friends. He was a loving, dependable, and devoted husband, father, and papa.
Vernon is survived by Wife Patsy Chlouber, two daughter Patricia and husband Mike Millwee of Apache and Tammy Chlouber and Bill Muncy of Anadarko. One son Michael and wife Sheri Chlouber of Carnegie. Six grandchildren Ashleigh and husband Shane Demarcus, Kristen Millwee, Wyatt Chlouber, Jace Millwee, Brooke Chlouber, and Megan Chlouber. Two great grandchildren Reed Demarcus and Reese Demarcus. Mother Eula Chlouber of Carnegie, sister Erma Cargil of Yukon, sister in law Mary Chlouber of Minco, Mother in law Emma Jean Horschler of Mt View, Brother in law and sister in law Eddie and Becky Mandrell of Mt View. Also numerous other family members and friends
He is proceeded in death by Grandparent Nick and Mary Chlouber, Father Clarence Chlouber, sister Norma Simmons, Brother Sylvan Chlouber, and Father in law Edmond Mandrell
