Verna Boone

Verna Lee Boone, 87, of Sentinel, Oklahoma passed away on October 20th, 2020 in Denison, Texas. She was born on November 13th, 1932 to LaVerna and Anna (Benda) Hopkins at home in Cashion, Oklahoma. Verna grew up and attended school in Kingfisher, OK and graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1950. She married Ralph Lynn Boone on June 10, 1951 in Oklahoma City. Verna worked for Civil Service and the United States Post Office in Cordell, Oklahoma, retiring in 2007. She owned and operated the Sentinel Furniture Store for 25 years. Verna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sentinel, Oklahoma. She enjoyed helping with funeral meals and loved helping with Awana's, listening to the children quote bible verses. Verna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her family.
