Vera Muriel Miller

Vera Miller, 89, Roosevelt, OK passed away June 12, 2012 in Hobart, OK. She was born September 9, 1922 in Gotebo, OK. to James Willard and Lillie Mae (Owens) Muse. She lived in Kiowa County all of her life and moved to Roosevelt in 1932. She was a member of The First Baptist Church in Roosevelt. Vera married Roy Pete Miller in 1941 in Hobart.

Survivors include one daughter, Gwen Mace and husband Floyd Allen, Green Valley, OK.
one son, Kent Miller and wife Deanna, Cooperton, OK.
8 grandchildren:
Chandi Thompson and husband Bruce, Jason Mace, Laci Jehl and husband Josh, Stacy Bartel and husband Matt, Chris Miller, Cassity Miller and fiance Matt, Nicole Beamon and fiance Rob, and Scotty Beamon and wife Adrienne.
6 great-grandchildren
Chambree Thompson, Jacy Jo Mace, Kaden Mace, Kolton Mace, Jaxson Beamon, and Kenley Bartel.
two sisters, Cotton Mathis and husband James, Roosevelt, OK.
Dee Moore and husband Pat, Roosevelt, OK.



She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Pete, 1996, grandson Jason Mace, brother Doyle Muse and sister Virginia "Kat" Richey.


Funeral services, 10:30a.m. Friday June 15, 2012
First Baptist Church, Roosevelt, OK.
Burial will follow in the Roosevelt Cemetery under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home, Hobart, OK.


The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
