Velma Glea Richardson

Glea Richardson, age 69 of Rocky, OK passed away on March 12, 2017, her birthday. She was born March 12, 1948 in Clinton, OK to Otha Iman & Bertha Edith (Willis) Widener.

Glea was raised by her step-father, Edgar Russell Pope and throughout life, worked at the school cafeteria, as a clerk at Cordell's Kwik-n-Eze convenient store and as a certified nurses assistant. Glea enjoyed all animals, especially birds, dogs, cats and butterflies. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Lloyd Richardson of Rocky, OK; sister, Laveta (Chub) Martin and her 3 children; first husband, Timmie Gene Smith; children, Judy Ann Wilson and husband Rod and their daughter, Brittni Wilson, Timmie Russell Smith and wife Tracy and their children, Dalton Smith (wife, Shayla and their daughter Oaklee) and Dillon Smith, Corvin Jay Smith and his son, C.J. Smith, Jr., JoEtta Sue Smith and spouse Megan Marie Malloy and their children Dalton Reese Smith and Tucker Joe Malloy, and step-son, James Kenneth Richardson; as well as numerous other kids, friends and family.

Glea was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Aleta Ramsey; and numerous aunt, uncles and other relatives.

Services for Glea will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Cordell, OK with interment following at Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, March 15th and from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 16th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church-Building Fund (215 N. College, Cordell, OK 73632) in memory of Glea. Services are under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Cordell.
