Troy Wayne Johnson

November 20, 1933 — July 29, 2019

Troy Wayne (Bud) Johnson was born on November 20, 1933 in Cooperton, Oklahoma to Chris and Merle Elizabeth (White) Johnson and passed away peacefully July 29, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Bud was raised in Cooperton where he attended school. He was a member of the First Christian Church and worked for his dad at Johnson's Apco filling station. He joined the United States Army after graduating high school and served 2 years. After Bud was discharged from the army, he married Anita Bryant in California. They returned to the Cooperton area where they raised 2 children: Russell Wayne and Regina Kay. Bud later married Berniece Terry. He lived most of his life in the Cooperton area, he was a rock truck driver, ran Johnson's Apco filling station, and later worked for Kiowa County. He also served many years on the Cooperton Valley School Board. He was known by many as he never met a stranger. Bud also had a very ornery side to him, if he teased or aggravated you that usually meant he liked you. He had many hobbies including raising race horses, reading anything about history, watching old westerns, traveling, and in the last 2 years he found a love for tea parties with his great granddaughters.
Bud will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
