Tomasa M Del Angel

Tomasa Mejia Del Angel was born on December 29, 1962 in Tanlacut, San Luis Potosi, Mexico and went to her heavenly home on September 20, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tomasa was born to Leocadio Mejia-Almazán and Agustina González-Durán.

Tomasa met the love of her life Juan Alfredo Del Angel in 1979 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. They united in marriage in June of 1987 in Cameron County, Texas and made Anadarko, Oklahoma their forever home in 1997.

Tomasa was a faithful member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a frequent visitor of the National Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague in Prague, Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening, caring for her animals, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Tomasa was well known for her cooking and delicious meals.

As a homemaker, a wife, and a mother, Tomasa was hardworking, supportive and encouraging, friendly, playful, and outgoing. Her lifework was helping others and striving to improve for her family.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband Juan A. Del Angel. Five children, Erika L. and husband Gabriel Ocegueda, Victor H. Del Angel, Cynthia T. and husband Jesus De Leon, Juan Del Angel and companion Tessa Lonewolf, Ianelli K. and husband Noel Osvaldo Avila and Jammie Davis, who she loved as her own. Sixteen grandchildren that she loved immensely, Esmeralda, Gabriel Jr., Giovanni, Emily, Victor Jr., Juan Elliot, RaeLeigh, Da'Jhmae, Jesus, Mia, Julian, Emiliana, Camila, Selena, Montserrat, and Adeluna. Siblings included Antolina, Meregilda, Cristina, Jose, Delfino, Claudio, and Javier. As well as a host of loving friends and family.

Tomasa was reunited in Heaven with her parents, Leocadio and Agustina, one daughter, Alexia Jasmine, and one brother, Francisco. One special grandma, Petra Durán and two nephews, Maximo and Christopher. Tomasa was the backbone of her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the stories, lessons and love she leaves behind.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 25th from 9 AM to 8 PM at Ray and Martha's Funeral Home in Anadarko, OK. Services for Tomasa Mejia Del Angel will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
