Thomas E. Crider 86-year-old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away April 1, 2018 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born June 12, 1931 in Cordell, Oklahoma, he was the son of Hugh Tom Crider and Agnes Lorene (Ward) Crider. Tom was a longtime employee at Tinker Air Force Base working in data automation. He loved doing yardwork, being outdoors, bird watching, and his dogs. He would take in any stray that came to his home and soon it was his dog. Tom proudly served his country, serving in both the Navy and the Air Force. Preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Christy Mead; two grandchildren, Jackie and Michael Richardson; one sister, Jackie Ayres; and one brother, Ted Crider. Survivors include his wife Shirley (Griffin) Crider of the home; two sons, Thomas and his wife Glenda Crider of Norman, OK; and David and his wife Barbara Moore of Choctaw, OK; two daughters, Carrie and her husband Dale Fortna of Afton, OK; and Teri and her husband Mark Holmstrom of Austin, TX; 10 grandchildren, Lindsay and her husband Corey Ellis; Chelsea Crider; Allie and her husband Grant Gannon; Matthew Mead; Brianna Moore; Rachel Richardson; Connor Moore; Kent Holmstrom; Yanna Mead; and Sydney Moore; 4 great-grandchildren, Leo; Jack; Kinsley; and Corley. Tom was a smart, kind, gentle, and humble man loved by his family and all who were fortunate to know him.
