Thomas "Tommy" George Cooper, 79, lifelong Kiowa County resident, went to be with his heavenly father, on Saturday, May 2, 2015. He was born at home near Roosevelt, OK, on January 1, 1936, to Bryan and Hazel Rae (Stephenson) Cooper. The family moved to Hobart when Tommy was seven years old. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1953. He worked on the family farm and at the Kiowa County Star Review. He then was employed by the post office for twenty-nine years until his retirement in 1992. He continued to farm as a hobby after his retirement. He joined his wife Shirley doing volunteer work for the Department of Human Services. Tommy was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Hobart.

Tanner Emerson, Roosevelt, OK
six great-grandchildren: Ceanna, Rebel, Stryker, Cayden, Braxlyn, Acelyn,
several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Rex Cooper, two sisters Bobbie Jean Usher, Patsy Cooper.
