Theodore Satoe

June 26, 1950 — May 1, 2024

On May 1, 2024, Theodore Ted Satoe Jr., 73 of Anadarko was called to his Heavenly place that God prepared for him. He was born to the late Theodore &Pauline (Popetsaike) Satoe, on June 26, 1950, at the Kiowa Indian Hospital in Lawton, Ok. He was the oldest Son of 12 children. Ted Jr. was drafted into the United States Army on November 25th, 1970, and served until he was Honorably Discharged on August 28th, 1972. After the Military, Ted Jr. met his wife Wynette (Harjo) and married her on September 16, 1975. Ted Jr. worked at Safeway Grocery store as a checker/cashier in Anadarko. He worked with Anadarko Public Schools, mostly at Sunset, as a janitor, then he worked at the Anadarko Indian Health Center, in the housekeeping department. Throughout his time in Anadarko, He attended Caddo- Kiowa Vo-tech, where he obtained his certificate in heat and air and later became Cleet certified. He then pursued a proud career as a security guard. He had worked for Riverside Indian School along with Sooner Security in Norman Ok. There he was blessed with a long career as a Security guard for the University of Oklahoma Athletics department between the years of 1988-2005, he also was able to work as Head Exposition Security Director for a number of years, during that time he was also employed at Gold River Casino where he worked and later retired. Ted Jr. loved serving God, his wife, his family, his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, his only living sister, Elaine, all his nieces and nephews, cousins. He was very proud of his late mom and dad, who he loved and cherished for all of his life. Ted developed a tremendous work ethic that ensured his family's success. He always supported and adored his family in every aspect of their lives. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially at sporting events, vacations, graduations from head-start to completing college. He was always there and upheld nothing but pride for his family. He enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids grow into adulthood. He loved having his great grandkids around him. He was always available to teach, guide and give directions to all of his family and friends. He loved coaching little league baseball and soccer when his children were young. He enjoyed watching all his grandsons play high school football, baseball and basketball and competing in other sporting events, he enjoyed watching his granddaughter and great granddaughter play softball and any other events they had. Ted was a deeply rooted OU fan and supporter of OU athletics, he was always hyped up while watching football games, and was very passionate about working security for the University. He enjoyed watching Nascar races, the Kentucky Derby, the Masters, he was an avid listener/ watcher of the late Reverend Billy Graham, he enjoyed watching documentary's, biographies the history channel and investigative tv, he enjoyed watching Leave it to Beaver, Andy Griffith, all the old classics, he enjoyed listening to music, with the likes of Elvis and rock n roll. He always enjoyed talking and visiting with all family and friends.

Left to cherish Ted Jr.s' memory is his beloved wife Wynette Satoe of the home, his children Russell Satoe and companion Caroline Paukune, Edwin Satoe and companion Andrea Taylor, Laurie and husband Christian Palmer, all of Anadarko. 8 Grandchildren Justin, Khy, and Jaycee Satoe of Ada, Ok. Wesley, Jaren, Galen Satoe, Wallace and Tavia Wetselline all of Anadarko. 5 Great- Grandchildren Keelynn Eloisa, Titus Wayne, Dreya Elliana, Marayah (Ghou-Lee) D., Saibn Santana and one sister Helen Elaine Brodeur of Yukon, Ok.

Ted, Jr. is preceded in death by his parents Theodore & Pauline (Popetsaitke) Satoe, Sisters Karen Satoe, Beverly Tonips, Emily Treaster, Shari Roughface, Oleta Satoe, Annette Tsatoke, and Gertrude Ruth Sarrell, brothers Gary, Jesse, and Jeffery Satoe, and nephews Roy Treaster, Norman Brodeur Jr., and Richard Kiser.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2024
