Thelma Mae (Tonahcot) Geionety, 87, of Carnegie, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on July 1, 2017 with her family by her side. Thelma was born on September 29th, 1929 to Burton and Kate (Kalthchalllah) Tonahcot in Meers, Oklahoma. She grew up and attended school in Harvey. After school Thelma met and married Melvin Geionety on April 19,1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Thelma is survived by six children
Eugene Royce and wife Mia Geionety of Georgia
Melva Joyce and husband Royce Blackdeer of Anadarko
Fred Geionety & companion Iola of Carson City, Nevada,
Frank Geionety and companion Linda, of Carnegie
Ricky Geionety and wife Donna of Mtn. View
Vicky Fraley of Anadarko

Two special Great Grandsons, Dax and Leo Devenitch, Mustang, Oklahoma

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Geionety, her parents, Burton and Kate Tonahcot, two grandchildren, Elliott Geionety & Adawyna Geionety Yellowhair. Her half Brother, Vernon Lee Tonahcot, and her sisters, Marjorie Samone (half sister), Evangeline Tonahcot, (infant), Bobbie Jean Tonahcot (infant), and Ernestine Tonahcot Perciado.

Funeral service: Thursday, July 6, 2017 11:00 AM, Cedar Creek United Methodit Church

Wake service: Wednesday, July 5, 2017 7:00 PM, Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, Oklahoma.
