Thearl Bonita Lamb, 97, long time Hobart resident, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012 in Norman, OK. She was born November 8th, 1914 in Mountain View, OK to Omer C. and Rosa Mae (Frick) Coon. She grew up in Mountain View and graduated from Mountain View High School. Thearl married Andrew Jay Lamb in 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1985. They owned and operated the Star Cleaners in Mountain View for several years and the Lamb Cleaners in Hobart for approximately 30 years. She enjoyed keeping her yard well manicured.

Survivors include three grandchildren: Pamela Dubala and husband Michael, Oklahoma City, OK
Mike Smith and wife Pam, Yukon, OK
Elaine Downey and husband Jeff, Oklahoma City, OK
one son-in-law, Bob Smith and wife Sue, Oklahoma City, OK
six great-grandchildren: Brian, Britnie, Steven, Staci, Angela, Stuart
and six great-great-grandchildren: Rylie, Reagan, Reid, Hannah, Nathan, Luke

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jay, daughter Jaylene and several brothers and sisters.


Graveside services: 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 16th, 2012
Mountain View Cemetery
Mountain View, OK
Officiating: Rev. Henry Lamb, Lawton, OK

Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home of Mountain View, OK.

Friends and family are invited to the First Baptist Church, immediately following the service for lunch and visiting.
