Suzanne Smith Haley
(1940-2017)
Suzanne Haley, 77, a long time Irving and Denton, Texas resident died peacefully on Tuesday, June 27th in the company of her loving family. She was born on March 3, 1940 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Rudolph and Lucille Smith and met her husband of 60 years, Kendall Lyle Haley in Mountain View, Oklahoma.
Suzanne had a successful, 35 year real estate career in Irving. She began her career as a real estate broker at Red Carpet Realtors, was an owner/operator at Blue Ribbon Homes Real Estate, then a broker at Coldwell Banker. She gained a loyal following of customers and friends, not by high pressure sales tactics, but with a truthful, honest and patient sales approach. She was never without a big smile, kind word and optimistic attitude.
She was an incredibly loyal, loving and faithful friend and wife, but her greatest sense of pride were her three children, Dennis, Danny and Melissa. They were her ever-present source of strength.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Rudolph and her long-time Pomeranian companion, Sofie. She is survived by her husband, Kendall of the home, son, Dennis Haley and wife, Sandra; son, Danny Haley and wife, Jana; daughter, Melissa Pace and husband Tann; brother, David J. Smith and his son, Jeff. Grandchildren: Justin Haley, Brandi Teague, Colton Haley, Logan Haley, Jordan Haley, Dillard Pace and Lane Pace. Step-grandchildren: Taylor McCarthy, Rusty McCarthy, Gavin McCarthy; Bryce Haley and 4 great-grandchildren.
