Susie Halford

Susie Halford, 79, of Hobart, Oklahoma passed away with family by her side on September 13th, 2017. She was born on August 3rd, 1938 to Evert L and Nevada (Duty) Osmond. Susie attended school in Gotebo. After graduation she attended college at Southwestern State Oklahoma University in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
She gave up her first love, snip her horse, on June 1, 1957, when she married her forever love Larry. Susie first taught Elementary School in Bessie then in Hobart, where she eventually started the Special Education Program and loved all the kids like they were her own. She served on the Hobart City Council and was the director of the Red Cross blood drive for over ten years. She taught the youth and college Sunday School class for many years. Larry and Susie owned and operated the Hobart Stockyards for 31 years.

Son: Brad Halford of Hobart, OK
Daughter: Marty Morrow & husband Jim of Hobart, OK
Grandchildren: Gage Morrow of Weatherford, OK
Macy Gelnar & husband Johnathan of Little Elm, TX
Brother: Leiland Osmond & wife Beth of Gotebo, OK
Sisters: Jill Weise & husband Tim of Marfreesboro, TN
Peggy Osmond of Hobart, OK
Sister-in-law: Bobby Osmond of Gotebo, OK
Nine nieces and nephews and a multitude of great nieces and nephews.
Other survivors include a wide community of friends and neighbors who will surely miss Susie in their lives.
