Susan Elaine Seidel

November 11, 1962 — October 22, 2021

Susan Elaine Seidel, 58, passed away at Comanche Memorial Hospital on Friday October 22, 2021. She was born at Abington Memorial Hospital, PA on November 11, 1962 to Leroy Norman and Dereth (Williams) Seidel. The youngest of four she grew up in Pennsylvania then moved to Anadarko, Oklahoma in 1978. Sue married John Garlanger in 1980, together they had one son, Thomas John Garlanger. She attended Riverside Indian School and obtained her GED through the Adult Institute in Anadarko. Sue attended Caddo Kiowa VoTech and received her welding degree. Sue also worked at Pizza Hut, Carnegie Nursing Home, and Silvercrest. She was offered a job at W&W Steel to weld, but was involved in a major car accident that she shouldn't have survived. Sue was burned on over sixty percent of her body. With her recuperative powers she recovered to the doctor's amazement. Some would say she had nine lives, but she actually had forty-five. She loved working on cars, lawnmowers, being outdoors, fishing, camping, eating with family, and going to the casino. Sue was a member of the Delaware Tribe and always voiced her opinions at meetings. When they saw her coming someone better beware.
Susan loved all of her family and friends especially her grandchildren. She was a friend to all and never met a stranger. Sue would give the shirt off her back. She was a kid at heart, never wanted to follow the rules, and danced to the beat of her own drum. A wild child who loved to laugh, have fun, and stay up all night. She was born a night owl and had the biggest heart of anyone we ever met. Sue was strong, passionate, beautiful, and fought many battles. Sue lived and loved to the fullest.
She is preceded in death by her father, Leroy N. Seidel Jr.; grandparents, Leroy Sr. and Edith (Waughtel) Seidel, and Rose Ellis and Fred Williams; aunts, Shirley Hunter, Ladonna and her husband Carl Kopfinger.
She is survived by her: Daughter: Kimberly and husband Caleb Lakins.
