Stanley Joe Hughes, "Stan",60, of Mountain View, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home, October 21st, 2017. He was born on September 29th, 1957 to Bobby and Iris (Womack) Hughes. Stan was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma.

Stan spent most of his working years as a Truck Driver, and was a talented mechanic who enjoyed working on pickups and cars, as well as lawnmowers, weed eaters and who was said to be able to fix just about anything with a small engine in it. Never having children of his own, his numerous nieces and nephews gave him great joy as his extended vicarious family, and he treated them as if they were his own kids. Stan was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mountain View, and a member of the Choctaw Indian Tribe.

Skyla Burcum of Carnegie, Oklahoma
Leah Clark of Carnegie, Oklahoma
Angel Hughes of Carnegie, Oklahoma

2 nephews: Brandon Hughes of Mountain View, Oklahoma
Jaden Skinner of Carnegie, Oklahoma
23 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 uncles, Frank and Charles Womack.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10:30 A.M., at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mountain View, Oklahoma.
