Sheila Kaye Topaum-Perez was born March 21, 1974, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and went to her heavenly home on June 6, 2021, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Sheila was born to Linda Limon and Joseph Topaum. She was a tribal member of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma and of Kiowa descent.
She attended Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, OK. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science from University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in December 2014. Sheila graduated in May 2021 with her Master of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Langston University. Sheila was recently inducted into the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society and the Chi Sigma Iota Chapter of Professional Counselor's Association.
Sheila met the love of her life and dedicated partner Constantino "Tino" Perez-Roque in 2007, later joining in marriage on September 12, 2011. Sheila was a natural leader and the backbone of her family. She was outgoing, friendly, and always kept others laughing. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was an active member and served as a Sunday School teacher at the First Caddo Baptist Church in Fort Cobb, OK. She enjoyed working in her yard. Spending time with her kids and grandbabies, who were the light of her life. Her lifework was helping others, especially assisting Native Americans with disabilities, pursuing employment, college, or vocational training it was one of the most rewarding things she had ever done in her life. She was employed with the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma Vocational Rehabilitation Program as the Senior Counselor since March 2016.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband Tino Perez. Six children, Matthew and wife Lena Topaum, Kaitlin Castro and fianc� Jesus Garcia, Clarisse and Nathalia Perez, Julissa, and Christopher Franco, who she loved as her own. Two grandchildren that she loved dearly, Hayden and Amani Topaum. Her mother, Linda Limon and stepfather, Luis Marron. Siblings include Brian Topaum, Jolynn Antonio and her companion Enrique Morales, Joseph and wife Lynda Limon, Cathalina Marron and fianc� Chauncey Galberth. Nephews, Francisco, Adrian, Caleb, Gabriel, Luis, Abraham, Tyler, Lyndon, Elias and Lydell and one special niece, Eleona.
Sheila was greeted in Heaven by her father Joseph Topaum, two siblings Tina Topaum-Spence and Humberto Marron. Maternal grandparents Una Dunlap and Alex Rodriguez-Limon, Paternal grandparents, Mattie Tee and Cyrus Topaum, one niece, Alona Dawn Cruikshank.
