Sarah Elizabeth Megli

Sarah Elizabeth Megli, 93, Carnegie, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, in Hobart, Oklahoma. She was born in Hobart, Oklahoma on January 25, 1922, to James and Mytle (Beckham) Greeley. Liz moved to Cowden, Oklahoma growing up on a farm. She graduated Cowden High School in 1940. Liz married Howard Megli on August 26, 1940, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. After she married, she moved to a farm in Cowden, Oklahoma, on Spring Creek. Liz and Howard bought a farm they called their home place in 1944, where she raised all three of her children. In 1968, she and Howard rented the farm out and sold all farm equipment. Liz loved working hand in hand with her husband with any help he needed on the farm, especially bottling the calves. She moved to Carnegie, Oklahoma in the early 1980's. Liz was an Ombudsman at Carnegie Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Carnegie. Liz taught the Butterfly class at the First Baptist Church. She loved to make scrapbooks. Liz also loved butterflies.

one daughter: Betty Chaplin and husband James, Hobart, OK
one daughter in law: Sheron Megli, Lane, OK
six grandchildren: Lisa Megli, Yukon, OK

Chad Chaplin and wife Dana, Weatherford, OK
Jamie Talley and husband Nathan, Hobart, OK
Troy Megli, Lane, OK
ten great grandchildren: Taylor and Tanner Boyd, Austin and Ashton Megli, Landri and Grady Chaplin, Megli, Harper, Finnley, and Greleigh Talley
one brother: Melvin Greeley and wife Betty, Mt Dora, FL

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Earl Megli, two brothers, and two sisters.
