Sandra Jay Wright, 71, of Anadarko, was born August 4, 1943, to J.C. and Jolene (Blackburn) Givens in Gracemont. She passed from this life on Sunday, April 5, 2015, in Anadarko.
Sandra was born, raised and attended school in the Gracemont and Anadarko area, graduating from Anadarko High School with the Class of 1961. She Married Roy Wright January 12, 1962. Sandra was a homemaker and raised four children and helped raise seven grandchildren.
Sandra was a very talented artist. She enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts including painting, sewing and woodworking. She was also an excellent cook. Most of all, Sandra loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Family meant everything to her
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Roy; and two children, David and Jason Wright.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Vincent and her husband, Richard of Anadarko, Amanda Vasquez and her husband, Christopher of Blanchard, seven grandchildren, Ashley Stumblingbear, Belinda Stumblingbear, both of Anadarko, Jayden Vasquez, Jaci Vasquez, Chrislyn Vasquez, Christopher, Jr. and Cayden Pearl Vasquez, all of Blanchard; siblings, Patricia Willis of Anadarko, Theresa Savage and her husband, David of Gracemont, Vanda Givens of Guthrie and Garry Givens and his wife, Barbara of Verden; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be form 9 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. today with the family receiving visitors at Steverson Funeral Home from 5 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
A graveside service is scheduled for 3 P.M., Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in the Gracemont Cemetery with Brother John Cahill officiating. Online condolences may be left for the family at
