Sandra Carol Walker Worley was born January 30, 1944 in Auburn, Mississippi to parents Wayne and Arline Walker. She passed away peacefully on July 18, 2016. Her husband Charles Worley, parents and sisters, Charlotte and Jo Lynn preceded her in death. Sandra graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in Monroe, Louisiana. She attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Louisiana where she received her B.S. and Masters Degree in Education. Her teaching assignments included Bastrop High School in Bastrop, Louisiana and Mountain View High School in Mountain View, Oklahoma. Her two greatest loves were her family and teaching. She was working towards completion of her PhD in Education when she was struck with a serious illness which ended her teaching career.
She is survived by her two sons: LaWayne Worley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ryan Worley and his wife Rachel of League City, Texas; her many grandchildren; two sisters Torchie Monk and her husband Merrill of Allen, Texas and Judy Gilbert and her husband Richard of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers Edward Walker and his wife Sarah Ann of Minden, Louisiana and Gary Wayne Walker and his wife Sally of Perkinston, Mississippi; and 15 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetic Association.
