Sandra "Sandy" Lee (Watts) Ray was born on January 13, 1947 and passed away December 24, 2021.
Sandy was born in Ottawa, Kansas to Wylie Dee and Evangeline "Muffit" (Spooner) Watts. She married Wayman David Ray in 1967 and together they had four children: Kimberlee Muffit Ray, Cassandra Lucille Ray Acuna, Quannah Asetoyer Ray, and Nicole Renee Ray Rodriguez.
She has ten grandchildren: Jesse David Ray, Anthony Jacob Ray Luna, Elissa Monet Acuna, Quannah Matthew Rodriguez, Salynda Katie Acuna, Elijah Rey Acuna, Francisco Vicente Corrales, Xavier Matthew Rodriguez, Chelsea Raye Corrales, and Zander Matthew Rodriguez. She also had one great-grandchild: Kamea Lucille Acuna.
Sandy loved spending time with her grandchildren, showing them how to cook, taking them to a movie, going on drives, especially to the wildlife refuge, taking them out to eat, or just hanging out and watching them play. She also loved going to church and spending time with the Lord.
Sandy worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs for many years, retiring in 2020 as the Regional Realty Officer for the Southern Plains Region.
She is survived by her three daughters; Kimberlee Muffit Ray, Cassandra Lucille Ray Acuna, Nicole Renee Ray Rodriguez, her ex-husband; Wayman David Ray, and sons-in-law; Alex Rodriguez and Anthony Acuna, and ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son; Quannah Asetoyer Ray, her parents; Wylie and Evangeline, her brothers; Shorty, Jerry, and Rex Watts, and her sister; Bonnie Watts.
Sandy was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many friends and family members.
