Samuel Neal Mcgaha

Sam McGaha, 59, of Hobart, Oklahoma, peacefully went home to be with his Lord on May 4th, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on January 11th, 1960 to Elmer Lee and Eula Mae (Miller) McGaha in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Sam grew up and lived the majority of his life in southwest Oklahoma. The family moved to Dill City in 1968 and Sam graduated from Dill City High School in 1978. He married the love of his life, the beautiful Kathryn Petzold, on September 29, 1979. Sam and Kathryn had one son, Samuel Lee. Sam settled his family in Hobart in the early 1990s and between work and family life, he served on the Hobart City Council from 1997 until 2001.
Sam was very patriotic and loved discussing politics. He also loved baseball and hotdogs. Most of all he loved his family. Sam was also a righteous man. In the latter years of his life he focused on his faith in God and enjoyed contemplating and discussing biblical prophecy. He was generous and quick to help those in need that God put in his path. Sam will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include: Son: Samuel McGaha of Norman, OK; Sisters: Becky Jeffries (widow of Bill Jeffries) of Moore, OK; Patricia Holt of Mustang, OK; Linda Riddle of Mesquite, TX; Sue McGaha of Oklahoma City, OK; Kathy Goulden & husband Tim of Yukon, OK; Mila Korn & husband John of Cordell, OK. Brothers: Doyle McGaha & wife Millie of Granite, OK; John McGaha & wife Peggy of Gretna, NE. Mother-in-law: Rudene Petzold of Hobart, OK. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his wife Kathryn McGaha (2007). Parents: Elmer (1998) and Eula (1986)
