Sally Jean Shinaberry

Sally Jean (Sumner) Shinaberry, 81, died at her home in Carnegie, OK on Friday, October 11, 2019. She was born in Non, OK to Hazel and Joseph (Wright) Sumner on May 25, 1938. She was the oldest of her two siblings, JoAnn McCauley & Judith Ernst.

Sally attended Ft. Cobb Public School and graduated with the Class of 1955 where she played basketball.

Sally was a member of St. Richard's Catholic Church, Carnegie, OK.

Sally had six children, Richard Tilley, Perry Tilley, Robert Davis, Michael Davis, Patrick Shinaberry and Jon Shinaberry.

She was retired Civil Service and the highlight of her career was being head of physical security for Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. In her retirement she worked with the Caddo County Election Board bringing the vote to local retirement homes. She also was the Secretary for St. Patrick's Catholic Church and loved working with "her" beloved Priests.
She loved animals, especially her cat and her home atop "Sycamore Hill".

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and one son, Perry Tilley.

Survivors Include 5 Sons: Richard Tilley and wife Salli, Fort Cobb, OK Robert Davis and wife Lori Davis, Florida, Michael Davis, Oklahoma City, OK
Patrick Shinaberry, El Cajon, CA
Jon Shinaberry, Long Beach, CA
Numerous cousins, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
