Russell George Thiessen

Russell George Thiessen, 64, of Cordell, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly on December 17th, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 14th, 1954 to Tony and Sybil (Havens) Thiessen in Cordell, Oklahoma. Russell grew up and attended school in Cordell, graduating from Cordell High School in 1972. During his high school years he was in wrestling and finished 2nd in state two years in a row. Russell and his father opened and owned a truck and tractor business for ten years, then Russell began working for Cordell Public Schools. He enjoyed watching nascar, gardening and loved to go fishing. Russell enjoyed telling jokes and loved being with his dogs. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cordell Academic Foundation.
