Ruel Anton Mace, 88, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at his home in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Ruel was born September 24, 1932 in Oklahoma City, OK to Floyd Isaac and Nancy California (Anderson) Mace.
Ruel attended school in Sedan graduating with the Class of 1950. After graduation he attended Carnegie Jr. College and was in the Navy reserves. Ruel married his soul mate Delma Liles January 24, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the love of his life and they had celebrated 67 years of marriage. Ruel was a farmer his entire life, farming south of Carnegie, wheat, cotton, alfalfa and peanuts. He was such a hard worker and was still wanting to go get on the tractor. Ruel's greatest joy was his family. He loved giving his children and grandchildren advice and being there for every important moment or event in their life. Ruel enjoyed attending sporting events. Especially if the grands or great grands were playing. He enjoyed old Western shows and loved to eat, especially his wife's meals, beans, peanuts, annual fish fry's, and salsa. He liked making his famous homemade ice cream. Ruel delighted in playing board games with the kids. He taught so many how to play dominoes and checkers. He loved those great-grand kids, watching them play outside, and his favorite pastime of pushing them around the house in his chair. He loved those around him and leaves such a legacy.
