Rudolph Harrison "Hess" Bointy , 75 ,passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born May 13, 1941 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to William and Sally Hokeah Bointy.
Hess attended school in the Sedan community before starting in the Carnegie School system. He graduated with the Class of 1960. Hess went to work at Western Electric after highschool until he was drafted by the U.S. Army in 1962. After being discharged from the Army Hess went back to work at Western Electric where he worked until his retirement in 2001.
Hess was an avid OU Sooner fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys. Hess served as Vice Chairman of the Kiowa Tribe and Headsman of the Kiowa Tia-Piah Society of Carnegie, OK. Hess enjoyed time he spent having breakfast with his friends and loved going to the Sale Barn on Thursdays at Anadarko.
Hess is survived by one son, William Bointy, Carnegie, Oklahoma
one grandson, Shawn Slinker, Carnegie, Oklahoma
two sisters, Donna Lee Gardner and spouse Jere of Wisconsin
Edna Bointy of Anadarko, Oklahoma
one brother, Joe Bill Bointy of Anadarko, Oklahoma
special Son, Hokeah Bointy of Carnegie, Oklahoma
and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Hess was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, his parents, five brothers Vincent, Curley, Jack, Wallace, and Daniel and three sisters Mary Beth Josh, Charlotte Doxtator, and Billie Rose. Also two infant sisters, Virginia and Sandra.
