Ruby Jane Brown

January 18, 1922 — July 13, 2013

Ruby Jane Brown passed from this earth at Grace Living Center in Norman, on July13, 2013, into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jane was born in Hobart, OK, on January 18, 1922, to Dewey and Lola (Cantrell( Richard. She graduated from Hobart High and a business school in Oklahoma City. Jane married James Brown in 1942, and they were married 57 years until his passing in 1999. Jane worked for Dillingham's Jewelry in Hobart prior to becoming secretary for the District Attorney's Office in Hobart, a position she held for over 20 years. Jane relocated to Norman in 2000 to be closer to her son Dr. Randall Brown and his wife Cindy. As many of her friends know, Jane loved people, flowers, and her prayer and ministry groups at the First Baptist Church in Hobart and the Bethel Baptist Church in Norman.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald R. Brown and his wife J.C. of Stuart FL, Randall Brown, DDS and his wife Cindy of Norman , OK; grandchildren, Heather Brown Dollarhide and husband Kirk of Allen, TX, Liz Brown Scalise and Brian of St. Thomas USVI, Courtney Pallatta and husband Dave of Westwood NJ, and Cameron Collins of Stuart, FL. She is also survived by 7 great- grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Hobart on July 27th at 1 pm.
