Ruby Charlene Black, 71, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away September 21, 2017. She was born on June 4, 1946 in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Monroe J. and Martha Ann (Easley) Smith. She married Donald W. Black and they remained together until his passing on February 24, 2002. Ruby was a loving mother to her family and her family was very important to her.
Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Donald Black, her parents, daughter Talis Faye, son Ronnie Dean Batey, sisters Irene Marie Kilpatrick and Billie Jean Davis, brothers Monroe J. Jr., Kenneth W., and Tommy Ray Smith.
She is survived by her sons: Leonard Lawson of Erick, Oklahoma,
Tony Batey of Elk City, Oklahoma,
D.W. Black and wife Belinda of Abilene, Texas,
daughter: Rhonda Jean Koester and husband Kerry of Hobart, Oklahoma,
sisters: Judy Evans of Eakly, Oklahoma,
Joyce Smith of Bradley, Oklahoma,
14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren with two more on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Sunday September 24, 2017 From 1 to 8 P.M. at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Hobart, Oklahoma. Family to receive friends 5-7 PM.
