Rosie Marie Mcconnell

Rosie McConnell, 75, of Tipton, OK passed away January 19th, 2013 at Corn Heritage Village Corn, OK. She was born January 21st, 1937 to Jessie and Suzie (Milligan) Bowman in Gilbert, Arizona. She attended school in Tipton Oklahoma where she spent most of her life. She was united in marriage to Delbert McConnell March 19, 1955 in Vernon, TX and he preceded her in death January 21, 1996. Rosie and her husband owned and operated McConnell's RC and 7UP Bottling Company in Altus, OK. Her hobbies that she enjoyed were crocheting and crosswords. She also enjoyed country music, dancing, Scrabble and Yahtzee. Rosie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tipton, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Shorty Bowman, three sisters, Bertha Courtney, Dorothy Johnson and Marie Kittrell and great grandchild, Ella Cryer.

Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, Tipton, OK
Burial will follow at the Tipton Cemetery
under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK
