Rosemary "Rosie" Kueter

Rosemary R. Kueter, 96, of Anadarko, OK peacefully passed away Saturday afternoon, July 24, 2021 in Anadarko, surrounded by her family.
Rosemary Ruthann Michel was born on November 1, 1924 in Bellevue, Iowa, the daughter of John and Regina (Dempewolf) Michel. Rosie graduated from St. Joseph High School. She was united in marriage to James C. Kueter on October 19, 1945 in Bellevue, Iowa. They were happily married for almost 71 years before his passing on April 15, 2016. Rosie and Jim were members of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Anadarko.
Rosie was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress. She spent many hours sewing, crocheting and cooking for loved ones. Rosie was an avid reader and loved to work crossword puzzles and play cards. She was a Camp Fire leader and a Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer for many years. She also bowled in the Coffee Cup Bowling League and kept the League books. In later years, Rosie and Jim made many daily trips to the farm where they enjoyed feeding and working with the cattle. She was a loving wife and great mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family meant the world to Rosie and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include three sons, David Kueter of Oklahoma City; Jimmie (Pam) Kueter of Anadarko; Gary (Carolyn) Kueter of Norman. One daughter, Diann (Kilbrent) Stephenson of Anadarko. Grandchildren, Jamie Creager of Spring, TX; Erin (Taylor) Beier of Spring, TX; Derek (Melissa) Kueter of Chickasha, OK.; Todd (Barbara) Kueter of Frisco, TX.; Ryan Kueter of Edmond, OK.; Brooke (Amon) Laurenzana and Jordan Stephenson (Parker Rodriguez) of Anadarko, OK. Great grandchildren, Kameron, Kayden, Braden, Brody, Kinley, Maren, Tyler, Jase, Rylee and Dannalyn. Sister, Marge Gothard of Bellevue, IA; Sister-in-law, Val Michel of Dubuque, IA; special friend, Genevieve Castillo of Anadarko; many other relatives and friends.
Rosie was preceded in death by her: parents, John and Regina Michel; husband, James C. Kueter; infant son, Ronald; brothers, Lawrence Michel, Eddie Michel and Jack Michel; sisters, Josephine Noel, Dorothy Said and Marie Weis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Anadarko Community Library, 215 West Broadway, Anadarko, OK
